In 2026, Calvary Presbyterian Church will continue to fight against the challenges of disease, disaster, displacement and other concerns that leave people hungry. Please join in as we raise funds to help neighbors near and far get the meals they need for today and sustainable food security for tomorrow.
Calvary is organizing a team that will meet Sunday, March 22, 2026. Registration starts at 1:00 p.m. and the Walk starts at 1:30 p.m. We will meet at the First United Methodist Church, 4845 Brockton Avenue, Riverside, CA 92506 and walk to Trinity Lutheran Church and then back to The First United Methodist Church. The Walk route is 2 miles.
If you would like to become a member of the Calvary team or support the 2026 Riverside CROP HUNGER WALK with a monetary donation, please contact Rosie Heath at (951) 818-9448 or email her at misspetuniarh@aol.com. 4 to 5 percent of the money raised at Calvary Presbyterian Church will benefit our own Hot Meals Program.

Palm Sunday is March 29, 2026 at 8:45 a.m. Contemporary Praise in Fellowship Hall and 10:15 a.m. Traditional Worship in the Sanctuary. Come early to the front steps to get your palm fronds and join the processional. We remember Jesus’ very last entry into Jerusalem riding on a young donkey as the crowds cheered.

Maundy Thursday on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. in the sanctuary marks Jesus’ final night with his disciples before he is arrested. We will offer communion and readings with singing to remember the agonizing last days of Jesus journeying to the cross.
Our church offices will be closed in observance of Good Friday. We will re-open on Monday, April 6, 2026.

The cross will be on the patio after church so you can take pictures with your family and friends. It’s a tradition here at Calvary!

Our February meeting will be doing an activity about blessings as well as planning the Valentine’s Day tea. Presbyterian Women is collecting class sets (24 or more) of Valentine’s Day cards for the children of Family Promise Riverside. Bring your donation of unopened Valentines to Fellowship Hall during the week in the church office. Friday, February 6th is the last day to donate your cards. The children of Family Promise were thrilled with our donation last year and were able to participate in their class Valentine parties. Let’s continue the tradition. Yummy snacks are always provided.
